The Falls River Center’s, 'Richard Moyer memorial premier ropes course' is located on 105 beautiful acres at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Stanardsville, Virginia. We are less than 20 miles from Charlottesville Virginia, 100 miles form Washington DC and 85 miles from the state Capital of Richmond.

Our exciting facility is designed to maximize your groups learning experience. Our well trained staff carefully lead and facilitate groups through a series of learning initiatives that stimulate effective communications, builds trust, fosters careful planning and invokes group creativity.

We believe in play with a purpose. All activities require individuals to utilize the same skills and qualities they have within the work environment. The learnings are directly applicable to how individuals can more productively interact at work and within their personal life. Active listening, positive feedback, and support are essential to group success at the Center.

' For centuries knots have been the symbol of trust and strength '
We offer both high and low events to meet the needs of the groups we work with. Whether on the ground developing strategy or 35 feet in the air, our events require team participation for success.

Not all of our events require ropes, but those that do require our technical staff be able to make good, secure knots. Knot training is a critical part of the certification of our technical staff. Because of this knots have become a recognized symbol at the Falls River Center.
The strands within our knots are representative of communication and relationship. The strands give the knot its strength. They link the participants through communication, shared ideas, relational processes, conflict and information. The knots are the joint activities aimed at realizing the common purpose. These knots of activity make the most of members’ contributions, commitment and skills.

Our activities are more than just about outputs and goals: they are the knots that tie people together, that keep the web tensioned, so that people support and trust one another.
